LARGE BRONZE ITALIAN VASE

Large four sided bronze Italian vase, featuring two female figures and two handles. Originally part of a pair that came from a villa in Brescia Italy. There are two woman figures represented on the two longest sides, only one of which is covered by a veil. On the shorter sides of the vase there are two handles. One of the most beautiful features is the contrast which can be seen on the veil dress of the women and the flowers which have been oxidized and have the typical colour of antique oxidized bronzed. The vase is sculptured with a remarkable amount of detail, which can be even seen on the back of the feet which both women have hanging from the lower part of the vase.
